DUTIES
OF NATIONAL VICE PRESIDENT
Follow
through on duties as outlined in Constitution and
Bylaws.
More
specifically:
- Serve in the absence of the President
- Keep officer handbook up-to-date
- Be responsible for the distribution of the officers handbook to all officers as they change
- Serve as chairman of the Constitution an Bylaws Committee and type all approved changes into the original copy of the Constitution
- Serve as chairman of the Policy and Function Committee
- Serve as Chairman of the Scholarship Committee
- Maintain a notebook on the scholarship winners
and their background
- Distribute scholarship applications in January to all active and alum chapters
- Send reminder notices to chapters if not enough applications received prior to national meeting
- Be responsible for determination of recipients following screening by the executive board
- Present awards to dinner program during annual meeting
- Return all application materials to scholarship applicants
- Send out news releases about recipients
