DUTIES OF NATIONAL PRESIDENT

Follow through on duties as outlined in Constitution and Bylaws.

More specifically:

Mid-Point Meeting

Holding a mid-point meeting is left to the discretion of the President. If a mid-point meeting is called, the President will see to these details:

  1. Make arrangement for meeting location
  2. Provide information to secretary so she can notify executive board and chapter presidents of meeting date, location, suggested agenda, travel arrangements, etc.
  3. Coordinate registration details
  4. Conduct meeting
  5. Assist treasurer in paying bills for meeting arrangements

Between meetings

  1. Communicate with chapter presidents and national officers
  2. Respond to needs and questions
  3. Be alert to publicity possibilities
  4. Follow through with appointed committees
  5. Assist with expansion details

National Meeting

  1. Plan meeting schedule, special programs, etc., with host chapter
  2. Provide information to secretary so she can correspond with executive board and chapter presidents about meeting date, agenda, special assignments, etc. (Host chapter invites other chapters to meeting, takes registrations, arranges housing, etc.)
  3. Conduct executive board meeting and establish agenda with executive board
  4. Assist other national officers with duties as needed
